Brewerie Plaines-Meuse :

It all started in 2016, when two lifelong friends, Yves and Pierre, decided to “cultivate the authentic” or rather “brew the authentic”.

Indeed, driven by a desire to “return to the roots” in the land of beer, they embarked on the development of a beer “as we do more”, with a simple recipe and ingredients “good from our home”.

In their garages, with a saucepan and a plastic bucket, they very simply begin their brewing history. By dint of patients and perseverance, they gain knowledge and materials and create their first. “baby”: The Hesby One. This name was obvious to them so that they would never forget their region of origin, Hesbaye, the true breadbasket of Belgium. With the approval of their relatives and friends, they take the gamble to market it by making it “Custom” at the Brasserie de la Croix.

Their notoriety growth and in August 2019, they learned that the brasserie “Les Fleurs du Malt”, located in Amay, wished to sell its business with its “Korus” and “Mur de Huy”. The opportunity was too good not to seize it, so the two friends rushed in order to realize the dream of owning their own brewery! “La Brasserie des Plaines-Meuse” was born! And with it, the assurance of continuing to brew “La Hesby One”, “Korus”, and “La Mur de Huy”.
